Lockdown Lifestyle 2.0: It’s Back

Welcome Back Everyone

It’s finally 2021, though with the start we have had you could be excused for mistaking it for 2020 at this point!

But, it’s a new year, & it’s time for a new me as they say

Well a continuation of the me I was creating I guess you could say

So here we go with the new blog update, and what will be the new series on this blog Lockdown Lifestyle 2.0!

After documenting my journey through the lockdown last year and how I spent the time losing weight and improving my lifestyle I have decided to continue this series with a 2.0

What’s Lockdown Lifestyle 2.0 going to comprise of you ask. Let me tell you

Weekly weight loss update:

This will be the same as previously with how the weight loss is going, from the weekly average weight, where I have done well and where I have not done so well. Along with all the improvements I’ll be looking to make the following week

Money Blogs:

We’ll be once again going over everything these is to go over! From monthly budgets, what my current debt is, ideas for getting out of debt / income streams

Reviews:

We’ll be reviewing any products I use along the way during the processes of losing weight, getting out of debt, or just anything I think you guys may want or be interested in, starting when my new piece of kit comes so stay tuned

I want to stay motivated and on top of the blogs, and this year I want to focus on really building a following on the blog page and my socials both Twitter @Drage162 & Instagram Drage_162

Throughout the year I’ll be looking to update these more, and will be doing my best to increase my following and engage with as people as I can!

Now that the plans are out of the way it’s time to get into some talk about the weight loss journey once again

Now last lockdown I started my journey at 245.3lb and I managed to get down to around 206lb before I got a bit fed up and started being a bit more relaxed mainly due to my partners birthday, my birthday and Christmas / New Year and wanting to enjoy all the food

Well on Monday 4th January (as you always have to start on a Monday 🙄) I began the new cycle of dieting

This period will last 16 weeks and take me to the middle of March, at which point I’m hoping the gyms will be back open and from there I can decide on the next path in this

I thought I would use this initial blog for a bit of a look into what I’m going to be doing during this dieting period

Of course let’s start with Mondays Start Weight

219.0lb (4th January 2021)

Well start with calories, I’ll be starting off at 1,950kcal for this diet, if I start to lose weight too quickly I’ll be upping this to around 2100kcal, if I don’t lose any weight or it feels as though it’s being stubborn I’ll look to decrease the calories

I thought this time around too I would go a bit more into the foods I eat, as I don’t feel I did this much last time out

I want to show that anyone can do this if they put there mind to it and I want to show that you don’t have to be 100% perfect all of the time, you don’t have to starve and you can enjoy things you like

For me my go to foods are fairly bog standard I’ll be eating a lot of ham sandwiches as my lunchtime meal (danish bread, ham, lettuce, jalapeños, coleslaw) usually x 2! For tea it will be changed up but some things I found on the last diet were from Iceland and the 4 for £10 chicken joints / breast (the pizziola chicken breast is so goooood!!!)

Breakfast I don’t usually bother about, I will usually fast and have my eating period between 12pm – 8pm (sometime it will be extended if I have calories left and the 9pm sweet tooth kicks in)

Though I am debating changing this, this time around and giving myself the freedom to eat at whichever time of the day I would like. I’ve usually taken the intermittent fasting approach but I do understand that this works just as well as eating throughout the day

For snacks it’s the usual suspects fibre one bars (if you haven’t tried these yet, get out from under your rock and head to Asda as at the time of writing this they are only £1 a box), breadsticks, coco pops, caramel rice cakes & hazelnut spread

One thing I find I need to do more of is drink a lot more fluids, so I’ll be trying to add in a couple of litres of water a day, and my go to drinks of choice are Pepsi Max & Squash

Of course I’ll wait at least 4 weeks to give me a chance to really see what is happening in terms of the weight loss as I’ll be looking to make informed choices and not just snap decisions when things aren’t exactly how I would like

In regards to exercise I was in talks to re join the gym with a friend of mine, however Boris & COVID have put a stop to this. In that case it looks as though I will be looking to start running a couple of nights a week (I’m just waiting on a few bits)

One big difference for me this lockdown is that I’m back in retail and working during the lockdown as opposed to being furloughed and I’ll be looking to hit 10,000 steps per shift I work as well as on days off

So that’s the plan! It’s a new year and it’s time to get motivated and back on the grind to hit my goal!!

Hopefully this will inspire some of your guys to get involved and diet too or try and achieve another goal
