Lockdown Thoughts

Welcome back everyone! Hope you are all doing well, and making the most of your time during lockdown?

I just wanted to share a few thoughts today, as it’s not a specific scheduled blog day today, but I do enjoy putting some content out each and everyday when possible

Since the start of lockdown I’ve been working hard to lose some weight, and get back to a reasonable level of fitness.

Of course whilst in lockdown this isn’t easy, what with not being able to go to the gym, and like many other I have limited resources at home. A couple of low kilogram kettle bells, and a cardio machine that is as old as I am!

So I’ve been going for a walk everyday! Having an 8 month old little girl, this is the perfect exercise, I walk 5-6miles and push the pram, while she sleeps! Which is great!

I was out yesterday for our daily walk, and it got me thinking!

Having been doing this over the last 5 weeks, it’s been rather sunny and the heat has been beautiful! However, yesterday was raining!

We went to the usual spot, about 2 1/2 miles away from my house is a local beach and waterfront! Now, during lockdown your allowed to do 1 form of exercise a day, and people seemed to be making the most of this, as the beach is usually a fair bit busy, with people walking their dogs or sat on the benches near by!

Then there was yesterday, a max of 3 people down the beach! The weather was dull & raining!

Which has led me to believe that the people going out to do the exercise are not doing it for the health and fitness factors! But, are actually doing it because the sun is out and they just want to enjoy it!

I wanted to know from anyone who is reading the blog today, as this is only a short one, what are you exercising for? Is it for a goal? And does the weather change your approach!

If it’s raining, or not as nice outside, do you scrap your exercise for the day? And just not bother? Or do you find a way of getting a workout in at home?

Maybe you have been doing Joe Wicks PE Classes (I have, and yesterday’s was brutal) or maybe you have your own routine you go for

For me, even with the rain yesterday I was determined to get the miles in, and again today although it is looking not so great out, I’ll be off to the beach for the walk and to get some exercise in!

That’s it from me today! I’ll be back tomorrow with my next FI post where we’ll be going over some players I have been looking at and may look to purchase when I make my next deposit in 2 weeks time!

For now, stay safe, stay home, & stay positive! And let’s all get through this together! ♥️
